Creative planting and garden improvement

I help people improve their gardens through well-considered planting and practical changes that make outdoor spaces look better and feel more inviting.

My work focuses on:

• improving how a space looks and feels through border layout, colour and plant choice
• choosing plants suited to the site and local conditions
• supporting pollinators and other wildlife

Projects can involve a planting plan, practical work, or a combination of both, depending on what suits your garden.

How I work

Rather than full garden redesigns, I work at a small to medium scale – creating and improving borders, refining existing planting and helping gardens develop over time. I Prioritise:

Plant choices

that suit the soil, light and aspect.

Structure

and interest across the seasons.

Wildlife

gardening to support local wildlife.

Practical Solutions

that are realistic to maintain.

This approach works well for new-build gardens, where planting needs to be established from scratch, and for existing gardens that need more considered planting rather than major construction.

How it works

Enquiry

Projects begin with an enquiry, followed by either a site visit or using photos and details you provide, depending on the type of work.

Proposal

You’ll receive a clear proposal outlining what’s included, timescales, and costs before any work begins.

Project

Planting plans can be provided as a PDF, practical work can be carried out on site, or both can be combined.

Is this the right fit?

This work is best suited to:
• small to medium gardens
• courtyards and urban outdoor spaces
• clients looking to improve their planting, rather than carry out major structural changes
